Digital Operations Automation Engineer · Slip Robotics

Tom with his wife and three kids

I lead tooling and automation for Operations at Slip Robotics. Before that I spent six years moving material through Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada, then two years deploying SlipBots as a Customer Success Engineer.

I came to Slip as a former customer, so I know what a deployment costs a site when it goes sideways. Now I keep the portfolio of Operations tooling current, partner with function leads on the work that matters, and sit as the primary interface to Digital Solutions. Off the clock I'm in the Sierra with my family, 3D printing, and teaching cheap cameras to spot failed prints.

Things I've built

notjunk.si home page notjunk Puts an AI agent on a spare laptop. It works through your list day and night and checks with you on your phone before anything ships.
Daily Tapes Record screen on a phone: a list of subjects (Date, Song, Verse, Story, Latin, Prayer, Timeline) with the number of lines recorded for each. Daily Tapes recording screen on a phone: the Song script, Twinkle, twinkle, little star, in large type under Song, Verse and Story tabs.

Daily Tapes

Record the month once. Your kids hear you every morning.

A phone-first toolkit for homeschool parents of kids in pre-K through sixth grade. You record the month one line at a time with the script large on screen, and Daily Tapes splits it into a morning tape with say-back pauses built in. It plays on the phone or on a Yoto player.

Load In 5

Load a trailer on screen before anyone loads one for real.

A top-down loading dock drawn to scale, with a tractor-trailer at the door. Sliplift mode puts trays on a SlipLift and runs the load and unload moves; Slipbot mode adds carts and bin conversion, and you drag a loaded SlipBot onto the truck. No sign-in, no setup.
